Haida Feast Bowls

Licensed reproductions of original Haida argillite carvings from the Canadian Museum of Civilization's Haida G'waii Collection, these bowls are authenticated by a pewter medallion embedded in the bottom of each piece.
Traditionally, feast bowl represented the abundance of bounty which was celebrated by carving elaborate designs of the most respected animals in native lore. The frog was a Guardian symbol; the beaver represented hospitality, as well as industry and creativity. Enclosure cards tell of the history or mythology represented in the work.
