In keeping with his view that "the tools of our daily lives need not be merely useful, but can also be pleasant to the senses", Canadian artisan Ken Pettigrew crafts a beautiful collection of wooden cooking spoons and ladles.

All spoons are made from black cherry wood harvested from the Lake Huron region of Ontario and finished with mineral oil.

The use of wooden utensils is highly recommended to protect the surfaces of non-stick cookware. With a little care, these wonderful spoons will last a lifetime. A thoughtful gift for your favourite gourmet chef!

A. Chef Spoon - A fairly large spoon with a reasonably deep bowl. Shaped to fit into the bottom corner of the pot, this is an excellent stirring and serving spoon. It looks good and feels great in your hand!

B. Runcible Spoon - A large, fairly shallow spoon with a pattern of holes for drainage. They are great utensils for stirring and serving chili, stew and other dishes where you might want to have more "stuff" and less sauce.

C. Spouted Spoon - A large shallow spoon with two spouts, perfect for pouring soups, stews and other liquids.

Each of these utensils is available in a right-handed or left-handed design.
