Delightful sculptures moulded around real eggs!

This wonderful Court Jester with moveable limbs and an infectious grin is created by Canadian polymer clay artist Margi Laurin and has been featured in publications, books and calendars.

Made over real eggs, these whimsical figures incorporate caning, drawing on baked clay, sanding and other techniques of working with polymer clay. They're also stronger than you might think (but this doesn't mean you should toss them around!).

Available in the following body sizes (measurements do not include the jointed limbs):

  • ostrich egg (about 8-9") - similar to photo
  • emu egg (about 6-7") - similar to photo
  • goose egg (about 3-4") - jointed limbs have have wire hands and feet
  • hen egg (about 2 1/4" high) - arms & jointed legs less detailed than photo (no hands or feet)

Individual eggs may be a little larger or smaller than these measurements.

Each one-of-a-kind Jester is multi-coloured and will differ somewhat from the picture shown. You can leave the colour palette up to the artist or indicate your primary colour preference when ordering (may delay shipping by one to two weeks). And if there are things that you particularly like about the one in the photograph, mention that to us in the Special Instructions window of our Check Out form and Margi will honour your preferences.

Note: A Tuxedo Humpty Dumpty (in a black and charcoal suit) and a Santa (in maroon and gold) are also available. Ask for pricing.
