This attractive Fireside Bench by Canadian rustic furniture maker Cheryl Evans is proving to be a big hit with urban dwellers and cottage owners alike! It's wonderfully functional in an entry hall, provides comfortable seating by the fireplace, and doubles as a handy coffee table on the screened porch.

Each bench is sturdily constructed from alder branches using mortise and tenon joinery and is given a hand-rubbed tung oil finish. It takes several hours to hand weave the seat using durable natural seagrass --and it's so comfortable to sit on!

While you could use this bench outdoors, we'd really recommend you keep it inside out of the rain. Exposure to moisture will weather the wood and discolour the seagrass over time.

Measures a comfortable 18" high, 36" long and 16" wide.

Also available in white birch with a Shaker cotton tape seat as shown below.
