Ojibwa legend inspired Canadian artist Lynette Chubb to design this beautiful Dream Catcher window panel in rainbow hues.

According to legend, the night air is filled with dreams both good and bad which will be caught in the web of the dream catcher. The good dreams know the way and will slip through the center hole, floating gently down the feathers to bless the sleeper with luck and harmony. The bad dreams, not knowing the way, will get hopelessly entangled in the web and perish in the morning light.

Often hung by a child's cradle to invite restful slumber or in a lodge to safeguard the dreams of all, dream catchers were traditionally given by tribal grandmothers to new babies and newly married couples for their lodges.

At first glance, you might think this work is stained glass. But, Lynette's unique art form combines the innovative use of clear sheet acrylic with transparent glass paints, glass beads, and inlaid lead. The characteristics of these materials allow her to take her Acrylart beyond the design restrictions of traditional glass techniques.

Light in weight, yet virtually indestructible, the panel comes ready to hang. Colours are guaranteed not to fade.
