About
the Artist
A self-taught artisan in wood, Ken Pettigrew works out of his
studio in the heart of Ontario's grape and wine region making
fine quality cooking and serving utensil, decorative accessories,
and elegant walking and hiking sticks.
His Work
Using mainly locally grown hardwoods
that have been harvested in as ecologically friendly a manner
as possible, Ken produces spoons, spatulas and ladles that
are as delightful to look at as they are to use. Finished
with only mineral oil, they are safe, stain resistant and
easily cleaned. They will enhance your food preparation and
serving experiences. Many professional chefs are now discovering
the joys of these utensils and appreciate the opportunity
to have pieces custom made to their own specifications.
Ken believes that walking sticks should be
seen as wardrobe and fashion accessories rather than necessary
evils. An interesting stick or cane will divert attention
from the "need" for the cane and can be a conversation
piece as well as a tool. Light,
strong and beautiful accessories, his
sticks can be custom made to serve your needs, interests and
specifications.
